Gamston Bank
Gamston Bank is modelled on part of the East Coast Main Line
just north of Retford. It incorporates all the features that were standing on the line in the mid 1950's from crossing keepers
houses, bridges, etc. and Askbourn tunnel, one of the shortest in the country at just 57 yards long, although may have
long since gone.
Many books of the steam era feature photographs of the line,
showing mighty pacifics to humble freight trains. Stand and watch the trains run through the Nottinghamshire countryside.
