Sellindge
This layout is based on the Southern Railway's main line from
London to Folkestone and Dover in 1947. It is imagined that a junction station was built at Sellingde, which in real life
never had a station, on the South Eastern and Chatham Railway's main line between Ashford and Flokestone, with a branch line
built to serve the western end of Folkestone racecourse and the village of Lympne.
The track plan is based loosely on Robertsbridge on the Hastings
line. The platforms are staggered, which was a common feature on the SECR, and the station building is modelled on Wye,
which is situated on the line between Ashford and Ramsgate.
